CIty/Country Utah Comments: I am Keane's mom. Keane is a very, very especial boy. He makes us a better family. His siblings are the most sensitve, caring, accepting and loving students at their school because of him. Keane has Down Syndrome. We did know until he was born. We gathered our 3 other children and talked about DS. Was tough because we had limited knowledge about it. Then my oldest daughter, Anik, was only 11 years old asked about his life span. We told her not to worry about that and we'll just make every single minute memorable and enjoy him. Wasn't easy to say that because that was my first fear also, but I had to be brave and strong for them. Then a two months ago, my doctor saw something in my mammogram. It was't cancer after all. But those days while waiting for the result was the hardest thig. Who is gonna take care of Keane when I am gone? My kids are too young. I am a woman of faith but those fears were alot stronger than my faith. Thank you for sharing Jessica's story. It's a different story from Keane's, but it made my family's desire to live every moment momorable stronger and more meaningful. Your story makes us a better family. THANK YOU, Alicia

CIty/Country San Diego, CA Comments: I'm terribly sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. She reminds me of my daughter Kristen who passed away Nov 23, 2011. What you said about Jessica's smile, how she treated others, her courage and loving life are so easy for me to identify your daughter with the way my daughter also was. Kristen also had an interest in horses and a love for animals. Please visit Kristen's memorial at virtual-memorials.com. Type kristen schon in the search and just click on her name.

CIty/Country dundas, ontario, canada Comments: what a beautiful tribute to your daughter, jessica. i cannot imagine the pain you have gone through losing a child. suicide is a terrible thing to have to deal with. all i can say about suicide is that, sometimes, in spite of a parents deep love, the world can seem a very cruel place, especially to those that are sensitive to others pain and suffering. thank you for letting me get to know your daughter, jessica, if even only for a few minutes. i pray that you find peace. terry pearcey

Comments: Dear Jessica's mom and dad, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I saw her name on my facebook and felt a need to read more about the beautiful young girl in the picture. Thank you for sharing this website so I could see how happy and wonderful she was as a child. I lost my brother 25 years ago and understand the pain you must feel. That is why I will be walking in San Francisco next weekend for the "Out of the Darkness" awareness walk. I am not asking for a donation or anything else from you except that I would like to put her name on my t-shirt and walk in her memory too. Last year I started putting the names of friends and loved ones of anyone that mentioned they had lost someone. I feel the more names that are on my shirt the harder I will try to raise awareness and hopefully help someone know they can reach out for help. Please know Jessica will be with me (in thoughts and prayers) even if you chose that you don't want her name on my shirt. I hope to hear back from you. Huggs, Kathy Cannon (San Diego, CA)
Comments: Miss you Jess...seems like an eternity ago that you left us.I look back on it now and it makes me so sad cause you were so young. You were just a kid. You did not deserve what happened to you. It completely breaks my heart. I look at everything God has blessed me with today and am so grateful for it but it saddens me knowing you missed out on such beautiful things in your life. I'll never forget the day you left us. You were an amazing and beautiful young woman and i'm so thankful I got to have you in my life as long as I did. I'll never forget you. Thank you for watching over me all these years. I love you, dear friend. Steph<3
Comments: Jessica, I got the pleasure of meeting your mother and father last week on a trip to South Dakota. After hearing their story I knew I had to come find out more about you on this site. It was a blessing to have gotten the chance to meet your family and hear about what a kind loving soul you are. As well as the chance to learn more about who you are through this site. Although they can feel your loving presence I know you will be deeply missed until you are all together forever once again. Jeramy
