She accomplished so much in her short time on earth. She had so much strength in physically and in character. It is so hard to see these young vibrant souls leave us so soon, when they have such promise for the future here on earth. But she was needed elsewhere, and maybe she even has met my son David, as he was a loving soul, which caused him to have a broken heart. He jumped off a cliff over looking the Snake River, and this was after an altercation with an Assistant Principal. David has been bullied a lot in his young life, he suffered from ADHD and didn't have the full capacity to express himself and learn school work as other children. It took him longer. So he was embarrassed many times by teachers, students, Principals, that were in the mainstream high schools. Finally that hassle from bullies and school authority figure embarrassed and humiliated him in front of his peers and bullies at a Auto Tech class, he could no longer bare it and came home crying and then left for his Chartered Academy High School, but went the other way to the river. He left us a sweet suicide note that told he loved us, and we were the best parents in his book and loved us all truly, allot. He felt he was a burden and couldn't do things right and would try to change, his moral compass was so high that he didn't fight the bullies until the month before his death. They never thought this tall skinny boy of 15 1/2, could be so strong! But he was strong as he was kind and helpful to his family, neighbors and strangers. And was developing a great sense of humor where he can remember details and just make me laugh. Anyway, I sure appreciated the story that Jessie's father wrote about her and the things he missed in 2005, which I understand as the shock and fog lifts, then reality strikes. My son David was born 6-4-87 and died on 4-8-03. So he was close to your daughter's age and would have been 16 within 8 weeks and free from school for the summer and would have been able to drive at night. But as the woman told me that comes from the coroner's office, as a Grief Counselor is some way said that 15 year olds are inthe moment, they don't think of the future, their brains haven't developed enough to know that tomorrow could have been a better day. Anyway, I've written enough, but I just wanted to let you know that Jessie was a wonderful girl and I'm sure she is just as productive and kind in Heaven. Cheri

My son Joseph left us on May 9, 2007. I share your pain, sorrow, and profound sadness. I want you to know that I think of your daughter as a saint. Your daughter is very beautiful. I wish that I couldn't comprehend your pain but also lost a daughter. Kassandra Lynn Nelson (KayCee) she was born Dec 6,1989 and died Aug 4th from injuries sustain in an accident on Aug 2, 2003 I was 6 months pregnant with our last child at the time. I felt drawn to you because of the fact that our daughters where so close in age and also the K in Kassandra. I love the website and think that I am going to figure out how to do something such as what you've done. Thanks for sharing your daughter with us and the emotions. While it's difficult to share at times, it's healing to record them and to go back and read them. I think that it's only then that you can see the growth and magnitude of all that you've been through. I am glad that while it's been hard you continue to work through the problems from your loss with one another. That in and of itself says alot. I am wondering if you've ever read the book The Message by Lance Richardson? and or Grieving the Pain and the Promise by Deanna Edwards. Both of those books seemed to mean and help the most for us. I am thinking of you and your daughter this night, will keep you in my prayers. I would be open to talking sometime if you are interested but don't want to cause more pain either.
